What Is No Churn Ice Cream?
Just like the name sounds, no churn ice cream is made with churning the cream with salt. This recipe is so easy, too! All you do is mix it up and put it in a pan to freeze it.
If you’re looking for an easy ice cream recipe you can make with your kids, then this is it.

Tips
Here are some of my best tips for making the homemade ice cream. If ya wanna skip them, just scroll down to the recipe card.
How Much Condensed Milk To Use
Most condensed milk cans come in 14 oz. but sometimes, they also come in 300 ml sizes (especially in Canada). This equates to about 10 oz. but will still work just fine for the recipe. It will not affect the integrity of your recipe – the ice cream consistency will still come out just right. It might just make it a little less sweet, but still delicious!
Use An Electric Mixer
Even though you can totally mix this by hand, I don’t reccomend it. It will take you so long and it’s so much work – it’s just not worth it.
If you have a stand mixer – use it! It does all the hard work for you.
Line the Loaf Pan
Don’t forget to line the loa pan with parchment paper. The ice cream tends to stick to the metal pan, so this makes clean-up a lot easier.
The Perfect Base
This vanilla makes a great base to incorporate other ingredients to turn it into completely different flavors. So rather than just adding toppings, you can fold in the actual ingredients and give it a new life!
Best Ice Cream Toppings
Feel free to treat this no-churn ice cream as you would store-bought ice cream! The sky’s the limit when it comes to toppings. Feel free to top it off with:
- Fruits
- Nuts
- Chocolate syrup
- Strawberry syrup
- Caramel
- Chocolate bar bits

Grab your friends and have an ice cream party! Use this ice cream to make a banana split, ice cream sundae, aor put it in a blender with coffee to make a homemade frappe!
